Ministries

We want to help you get connected ...

Adult Bible Study: Our adult Bible studies are a little different. On Wednesdays we have an in depth study/teaching that looks at the text carefully and includes Greek language and historical/cultural considerations to get the very best meaning from the text. We do not insert our own ideas, but instead, we glean from what is actually written on the page. Ladies' Bible studies are a sharing time, where heart-felt reactions to Biblical passages are shared by each member. Men's Bible study is similar to the Ladies' study. It is a personal sharing time.

Ladies Fellowship: Besides our weekly Bible Study, our two main events each year are the Ladies spring brunch and the Ladies Christmas party. We are also very involved with Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse. To learn more information about Samaritan’s Purse, visit their website at: http://www.samaritanspurse.org

Men's Fellowship: The men of OBC have a morning Bible study for those who work an evening/night shift or are retired. Occasionally, the men have other group activities.

Seniors and Friends: Our active senior's ministry meets about six times a year and provides our seniors and their "younger friends" with times of fellowship, laughter, good eating, encouragement, prayer and the word of God. We usually meet the 3rd Tuesday every other month at 11:30am at the church (when there is not a pandemic).

Youth Ministries: Our youth group and activities are currently suspended (sorry).

Children's Ministries:

We have a nursery area in our Christian Education building, where you can see and hear the church service on a remote monitor.

For older children, we offer a Sunday School/Children's Church that runs concurrent with our adult service (when the program is in full operation).

Scouts: The Cub Scout Pack 4528 meet at Olalla Bible Church. For more information please see pack4528.com.

Missionaries:

Bob & Katherine Rodgers serve with Northwest Independent Church Extension (N.I.C.E.), planting churches, and providing support to member churches in several of the western states and northern California. Their base of operation is in Tacoma, Washington. Website: http://www.nicechurchplanters.org

Eric & Melissa Lundquist of The Evangelical Alliance Mission (T.E.A.M.) are also involved in church planting and pastoring in the area of Vienna, Austria. God has given them many opportunities to travel and share their faith as they serve in that area of Europe. E-mail: mailbox@iliketofish.net

Larry and Vonni Pratt have the Country Lovin' Puppets, and are home-missionaries. They bring the Gospel of Jesus to both young and old. They serve in many locations, both local and distant.

Dan & Elizabeth Thompson serve in Uruguay, where they are involved with developing programs for family camps, training counselors, renovating and developing ministry buildings, and church planting. Blog: Gringochilenos.blogspot.com.

Note: We also support other missionaries in parts of the world where safety is of a grave concern to us. Because of the potential dangers, we have chosen to protect their anonymity. Therefore, we do not post any information on the website regarding these missionaries.
